Private-Label Strength Studio

This client already had a brand, a colour system and a strong opinion about how a strength studio should look. They were not interested in rebadged catalogue equipment — the model numbers were theirs, the colour was theirs, and the geometry on the plate-loaded line was changed to suit their coaching method.

The private-label scope

• Colour. Frame powder coat matched to the brand's primary colour from a physical sample, with the approved coupon retained for repeat orders.
• Branding. Cast logo plates on frame uprights, embroidered upholstery tags and printed cartons carrying the client's artwork and SKU structure.
• Specification change. The plate-loaded chest press seat was raised and the handle position altered to suit a coaching preference. This was engineered, drawn and approved as a private drawing before tooling.
• Documentation. Neutral manuals, packing lists and labels carrying the client's brand only.

Sampling

Two sample rounds were needed. The first confirmed colour and branding placement; the second validated the revised seat geometry with the client's own coaches on site. Sampling was the longest single stage of the project and the reason the programme ran to eleven weeks rather than eight — a trade-off the client accepted, because the alternative was discovering the geometry problem after mass production.

Repeat-order continuity

The private drawing, colour coupon and upholstery reference are held on file. The client's second order, placed seven months later, was produced without a further sampling round.
