A High-Performance Adjustable Bench Built for Compact Spaces

announced the official launch of the Nighthawk™, a highly anticipated adjustable training bench. As a successful evolution of the bestselling AB-4100, the Nighthawk retains its lightweight, compact footprint while significantly improving stability, adjustment feel, and attachment compatibility—designed specifically for home gyms and boutique personal training studios where space is at a premium.

Core Upgrade: More Stability, Not More Weight

Many adjustable benches chase load capacity and size at the expense of portability and space efficiency. The Nighthawk takes a different approach: a widened rear foot and full-contact front foot create a triangular support structure that delivers outstanding anti-wobble stability without adding bench weight. The entire bench weighs in at 88 lbs (40 kg). Combined with tactical weight distribution, a knurled front handle, and heavy-duty transport wheels, it actually rolls and lifts lighter than the previous-generation AB-4100—making it easy to reposition even in tight spaces.

Adjustment System and Training Compatibility

The Nighthawk features a fully enclosed ladder adjustment system. The thickened steel ladder delivers a smooth, solid detent feel at every position while eliminating the rattle that comes from a pin that can fully disengage. The back pad offers 7 angles (0°, 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 85°), and the seat pad offers 4 angles (-15°, 0°, 10°, 20°)—covering flat pressing, incline pressing, and a full range of dumbbell work.

Notably, the pad height is set at 16.7 in (approx. 42.4 cm), meeting International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) competition standards. Athletes can replicate competition-spec flat-foot leg drive in everyday training, which is especially valuable for shorter lifters working to establish a stable arch and drive position.

Materials and Details

The frame uses a mix of 7-gauge and 14-gauge steel, maintaining high strength while keeping overall weight in check. The pads are molded polyurethane foam wrapped in REP’s signature CleanGrip™ non-slip leather, balancing support with grip. A built-in rubber-coated upright storage post lets the bench stand vertically, occupying only about 9.2 sq ft when stored—freeing up significant floor space.

An Attachment Ecosystem Built for the Future

The front of the seat includes an attachment receiver, compatible with the upcoming leg extension/leg curl attachment as well as an upgraded leg roller. Instead of buying a separate large machine, users can expand one bench into a lower-body isolation station—substantially increasing the long-term value of a single piece of equipment.
